Is a 300ex good for riding in sand?

300 or 400? lol, A 300 is a little under-powered for the larger hills. A stock 400 will do ok, but I highly recommend at least a pipe and filter. It helps it a lot. One thing they lack is top end. Also, the sand really robs power, so both bikes will feel sluggish. Get paddles too if you plan on going up often.
