CRF Ignition

The crf450 bike ignition conversion has really caught my interest. My question is, is this kit from trailtech going to give me the same gains if i am running the stock piston and cam? I am torn between a high comp. piston/cam or this ignition kit. The ignition seems like the way to go, shedding almost 6 lbs. of weight, genuine honda parts, quick and high revving. Any opinions or advice?

There are literally tons of threads on this CRF ign. The answer is that I would go with the cam and piston first, then the CRF ign, then the FCR carb..The more you have of those mentioned the better your bike will run. I would recommend the CRF ign. that enables you to run the fan, if your not running wide open all the time on an MX track then the 450R will blow its coolant.If you have any specific questions that we can answer, then shoot, all the bikes we build leave with the TT CRF ign.
