Does anyone here have one on their bike?? I'd like to see what they look like installed. I think it would be nice having the extra fuel capacity for long rides. Does the tank get in the way of stearing?? What all is involved with the installation??

bump...

we'd like to hear what you guys with IMS tanks have to say too. Rob is thinking of getting one for his 440, kinda hard to take looong rides when his quad sucks gas so bad.
Also, what's with the price differences?? For example, Chaparral lists them for $157.99 but Dennis Kirk lists them for $229.99. Huh?

Com'on guys...any help would be appreciated.
:)

Thanks..Sherri

Try talkin to pappy(400ex127) or oldnumber7 they both had them on there bikes.
I havent had the need to get more than 60 miles out of a tank of gas yet. I just dont get to far from the cooler I guess.

quad4stroke is that the 250r that pappy just bought?
looks like it is missin the top end:eek:

Thanks for the replies so far!!!
Much appreciated.
Still wondering about the price difference tho...
I imagine from looking at the pics that we'll have to swap out the Trail Tech and put it on my quad. :D
I'll have to get a hold of the guys you mentioned soggyrider..thanks.

after a while they do get a yellowish tint to them. the one on my 650 is hardly noticable and all the ones that i have used in the past on my yz 400 and 426 only changed a little as well. unlike the ones back in the 80's and 90's. those really changed colors. plastics have come a long way over the years.

Chavez, that is a good idea, but what is supporting the front of the bike? Is it pretty stable on there?

I love your bike. It is just like mine but yours' is better. What do you have done to your motor? I just got shocks and need motor work now and am wondering what you had done.

Also, Have you had any trouble with powdercoating the stock arms?

intresting story this pic is after i painted. i have payed good money for good paint jobs well this last time i went down to tsc tractor trailor supply bought some tracktor paint ecrilic enamal, anyways this being my first paint job i get the tinner that they say got to work. i got finished put in a dry room for a week excited to start getting things together i go to get my stuff its still tacky i was p*ssed i forgot the hardner. 2 weeks lost. looking for solutions. the company that i work for does alot of work a honda and kenworth trucking so i get ahold of the paint shop explain my situation well i find out hardner is an excelerator and that it will dry in two weeks time. i had a race in a week and had to put it back together. i asked about heat they told me it would work. i did some measuring 3 foot by 7 foot for the frame i built a box raised up on my stand added two open flame propane heaters
got the temp up to 300 deg cooked for six hours. it worked and it holds up so far
