i was wondering what the limit is on how wide the quads have to be to race nationals. and from where do u measure it and do they take it when u sit on the quad?

Must be under 50 inches from the OUTSIDE of the tires when your sitting on it...

from the top or bottom of the tire, cuz i know they make off set wheels for a reason.

The offset of a tire doesnt make it wider at the top or bottom, or narrower at one point. It makes the whole tire the same width. If people ran a 3/2 offset with their +3's, they would be wider than 50 inches. The 4/1 offset lets you be at 50 or under with +3's. I hope I understood you right, or now I look like a complete idiot

no u r right. 450r51 was thinkin of camber and caster. he thought offset was when the wheel tilts in on the top. so no u r not an idiot

Yea, I am not very good at explaining things. I knew it was either camber or caster that made it tilt like that, but I didnt want to say the wrong one and lead someone astray.

Cause when I went to order a Douglas .190 for my fronts, Douglas siad they dont make a 4/1 offset .only in there beadlock. So does that make you about 52 inches w/ a 3/2 offset? THats what I am running currently
