Hey everyone i just got a 400ex for trails and i want to race XC with it. I dont have a bunch of money to spend and i was thinking about the GT link and revalve, anyone have this? Would it be alright if i get the lt rear link but still have stock front shocks for now. Also is it a must have to have beadlocks? I will be racing the C class (at the Ironman) due to i have never raced in trails before and all i have is a piped 400. Any help is appreciated

get some front shocks first, you wont regret it.

i think someone had some dual rate works for $200 in the for sale forum. dont kno if the stock 400 shocks are rebuildable but if they are i wouldnt waste the money on them.

beadlocks are nice to have, but not a must. The Ironman GNCC is not that rough a trail ( although it was so muddy last year who could tell). I would save for the front shocks before anything else. Also 6 ply tires are best

That rear GT THunder setup would still be a great purchase.

I second this opnion! The one improvment that will make you go faster in the woods is suspension, and front suspension most of all! Front suspension, then front tires, then rear tires, then skid plates! and you have an XC setup!
