Just cut it and tape both ends up.

Will this help acceleration in 4h gear? and after cutting the wire.. would you recremd still buying a CDI box?

It does nothing for acceleration it is more of a speed limiter.

Yes it will accelerate better in 4th with the wire cut. It is a 4th gear speed limiter. With the wire hooked up when you shift into 4th the motor will not rev out in fact often times they are faster in 3rd gear because it has no effect 1st through 3rd. Without the wire it will rev out therefore accelerating better and give you more top end. Yes the Performance CDI box works very well.
They have a much better spark curve and no speed limiter.

Ok.. wheres this wire thing and exactly what do I have to do to get it to work right?
I let a friend ride my 90 the other day just trying it out and he ends up barrel rolling it down a hill (kids an idiot) and braking my key off.. I disconnected the key and pulled that plastic thing off the handlebars so I don't need a key anymore! I was just wondering if I should do anything with the wire that I unplugged... it's just kinda dangling there...

Thanks,
Tyler
