I wasn't really sure where to post this, but I know a lot of people in here run HIPER rims. HIPER is recalling their 9 inch aftermarket atv rear wheels that have a model number of 0990 YHR. The rear wheels were manufactured from February 15, 2005 through May 2005. The aluminum center section of the wheel can come apart causing the tire and rim to unexpectedly separate from the atv. They have 12 reports of wheel center breakage and separation. Consumers should immediately stop using the 9 inch atv wheels and contact HiPer Technology to receive a replacement wheel center section and or wheel repair, free of charge. There are about 875 of these rims out there, and you might have one!! I copied all the info directly from our monthly health, safety, and environment newsletter we get at work. This is the first time i've ever seen an atv related recall in it, it's usually crappy toys and strollers and microwaves and stuff.
