I wouldn't get a cheap battery, that's probably why yours doesn't hold a charge. Sears makes good batteries.

wal-mart carries batteries for quads now, they are everstart brand. Not as expensive as a dealership would be

I found an exact replacement battery at Wal-Mart for my 400.

Unless you left it turned on.. theres no way it should die after a week and a half sitting. Mine's sat from November => March before and fired up on the first try.

Yea, it shouldn't have went bad in a week unless you left it on or there is a short. I would take it back to the dealer and raise cain if they won't replace it, that is if you still have warranty, and if they still don't get one from wal mart. I have gotten some there for several different quads and never had any trouble with any of them.

The previous owner of my bike had it in storage for 8 months, but he also prepared it for storage. he pulled it out, and said it started no problem.

I have never been to Deepwater but I would like to sometime this year. Do you ever make it to the dunes in OK?

Just a warning, once you ride in the dunes, you will definitely want to go back.
