what brand engine oil?

What brand and weight do you guys recomend?

I would get Kendall, Klotz, or Maxima. I run the Kendall and like it a lot. It`s weird how it is Green though. my second Oil I would run is Klotz. When I do my TC Motor I`m going to run whatever Tom tells me too. I know Sparks runs Kendall. I think Duncan runs Maxima. Any of those Oils would be Good.

I reciently took the advice of some pretty smart fellers here and went with mobil 1 15w50. Apparently the 15w50 (and ONLY 15w50) does not have "friction modifiers". That means it won't cause your clutch to slip. Since synthetic "atv" oil is about 8 bucks a qt. and Mobil 1 is 4 (and available most everywhere)......

Mobil 1 motorcycle oil (charcoal bottle) has friction modifiers not the regular Mobil 1 (silver bottle). The cheapest I've seen Mobil 1 motorcycle oil is $5.50 at Walmart. Some of the auto parts stores carry it but it's eight or nine bucks a quart.

i use kendall 10w-40 all year..it works fine for me

Penziol 10w40 all year. since i change my oil a lot, i dont bother spending 8 bucks to change my oil.

2002_300_EX, Do you use a 10w40 or the Straight 40 Weight? I am running the Kendall GT1 Straight 40 Weight. 400MXer was running that and Fischer`s told him to run it so that`s why I am running it.
