Just to keep it short. I've been having problems since I got it.(About 2 years worth):( . The problem ended up being a factory defect.
I was pretty excited because it did real well on the stock motor, so I was betting it would complement the the rebuild I did real well.
Yeah it did! Totally different. Started right up with a nice smooth idle. It even smells alot cleaner, you can tell its really burning all the fuel. Now for the adjustments.
The great thing about it is that it has alot of adjustability. I know it going to be alot of trial and error. But it doesnt hurt to ask

1. You can adjust the max timing from 0 - 7 degrees
2. Adjust when full timing comes on from 2000 - 5750rpms
3. Rev limiter from 8750 - 12,500 rpms
4. You have the option for turning on/off a high speed timing retard

I'd like to here what you guys think. Everything I've done is in my sig.

Thanks

Really easy. It comes with everything you need.

I would do 5-6 increase of timing, 10,000 rev limit, and turn the high speed timing advance off.:o

Thats just me though

I would just keep playing with the timing on every setting until I found the one that I thought gave the best performance, I would set the rev limiter high(just me as I like high revs) and turn the high retarder off. Are there not any suggestions that come with the ignition?

Why would you turn thehigh speed timing retard off. Retarded timing helps your topend.

retarding cam timing would help top end usually. i don't know much about retarding ignition timing though

Whether you advance your cam or ignition timing it helps your lowend power , I figure It would be the same with retarding it .

 Some one correct me if i'm wrong.

I got it from Msd. It really is the best ignition out there. I just happen to get a lemon. They fixed me up with a brand new one and its great! You will not be disappointed

K Fulk, you are right. Turn the retard on. When it gets close to the rev limiter, the timing will retard even more, and the engine will not make much power. That way, your engine isn't bouncing off the rev limiter, like wah.. wha.. wha, instead, it just stops revving. The new KTM's use this, and it is nice.
