can you pull the engine out without disassemblying the rocker cover? and if you can how?

Yes you can. You need to remove the exhaust, oil tank, oil cooler, oil lines. Pull your motor mounts off and pull the swingarm pivot bolt. I'd reccomend draining the oil throughly otherwise it'll be all over. You need to pick the engine straight up then swing the bottom out and pull the engine sideways out. It's a lot easier if you pull the topend off first though.;)

Yup...it can be done...I took the motor out by myself without any help or taking any pieces of the motor apart...just un hook the wiring, take the motor mounts off, exhaust off, oil tank and cooler off, bam...it's out!

you dont have to take the oil tank out to remove the engine!!!

done it at least 10 times and it comes right out. Loosen all the motor mounts and tip the engine down and pull it out of the right side... Hope you read this in time, so you dont have to fool with remounting the oil tank and lines again

i havent pulled it out yet.........thanks for the info though. prolly be this weekend or next weekend. the spare quad motor that i have is fixin to be a 465 stroker.
