I ordered a set of Elka Dune triple rate fronts last week. I got the invoice and it listed the shocks as stock #E36. I saw a few posts talking about the Elka Rec Series shocks and they were referred to as E36. Looks like the Dune Series is the same shock as the Rec Series. I'm sure the valving and setup are probably different though. Anybody have any input?

I bet the price wasn't the same, did they come with lube?

the price is the same, cause it's just different valving and springs. how much did you pay for yours? i paid $440 shipped

and what all was checked off on the invoice?

I paid $465 shipped with Elka shock covers. What do you mean shipped with lube?

I was just joking with you, I figured that they had been advertised somewhere as a different series for a higher price when they were the same shock, and meaning I figured they raped you on the shocks, but sounds like they didn't. I don't really keep up with all the series of shocks and things out there, I have works right now and won't need anymore til I get a 450.

I called Elka to price them before I ordered. They wanted $465 for the shocks, $30 for the covers and $55 shipping. I think I got a good deal.

Yea, sounds like a pretty good deal, it always amazes me how you can buy stuff so much cheaper than retail if you just look around a little bit.

I'm glad to hear that Elka has some integrity. Another company may have called it their "Dune Series" and jacked up the price, when all they really did was tweak the valving. Props to Elka.
