I need a outerwear for my 450 because I took my lid off. Will a k&n outerwear work over my stock filter? I can get it for $16 shipped.
Thanks,
Randy

why would you want an outerwear over a foam filter?
Instead of wasting money on that why do you get a UNI sense its already a dual stage filter and like $25
also did you buy your sparks exhaust at a shop around st louis or mailorder

Because I dont want to hit some huge puddle and get water in the motor:ermm: That sure would suck. I got my sparks off ebay.

go to teh Nacs racing site and get a outwears airlid cover. 20.00 lets air in and is water resistant. I use it and love it.
k&n is garbage, even with a outerware....you're better off getting a UNI

It has elastic around the edge. Don't worry it won't go anywhere.

I know man jetting is not fun. I stripped a screw on mine today trying to change the pilot. It was too hot outside and I just said forget it Ill do it later. Well I threw a couple of other words in there to but I cant use them on here.

Honestly they both have a purpose. I wouldnt race a xc with a k&n becasue its paper and we all kow what hapens to paper in water. But it does protect you a bit better with the lid of for a mx race.
