Clutch lever

hey i just put on my new Tag X-5 bars and new MSR clutch perch...
i love the bars and everything else but when i pull in the clutch to the grip...it doesnt engage the clutch all the way...and if i let out any without even a lil gas...it dies..how can i fix this

It sounds like you need to adjust the clutch, the adjuster found on the right side crankcase.

could you be more specific where and how you do it?

If you follow the cable down from the lever/perch down to the right side of the crankcase, you will find that the cable attaches there. adjust the bolts and you have the rough clutch adjustment here. I will try to find a pic to post on here in a little bit.

here is the diagram, there is 2 nuts on the end of #9 that you can adjust to tighten the clutch.

alright thanks...your post helped alot...anyone else think something else might be wrong with it
