hello guys, last week i have problem with my 416, my friend banshee have problem and i have to pull it, the motor overheat and the piston was ripped, now i need new piston and need boring, is it dangerous to bore to 426(88mm piston) for heat, the sleeve will be very thin, i need and want reliability, i will put a new oil cooler (like the fst kit, but its a oil cooler from a street bike, a zx9 i think) what company has the best price for a new sleeve?? is someone with a 426kit have problem with heat when you ride for a long time?

thanks

The stock liner is getting pretty thin at 426...

If you don't figure out what caused your motor to self destruct the first time, the 426 isn't going to last long..

IMO--Either have the cylinder resleeved stock or go with a 440 kit.

.120 over would make me nervous.

Your quad overheated while pulling the Banshee, correct?

Yes the 426 will run hotter than your 416. But since your 416 took a sh1t because of overheating and buy putting a 426 kit in will only make matters worse and mabe even toast that motor. My suggestion would be to recheck your jetting for running a lean mixture. Also are you running the correct sparkplug. Are you running high octane fuel or just fuel additives. Is your oil cooler clogged with dirt or the fins bent over? All these factors will contribute to a hot running engine and eventually a no running engine.

If you figure out what was making it over heat I think the 425 would be fine. When I talked to TC he told me to get the 425 over the 416. He said it was better. He also told me I wouldn`t have any Problems with it. I still want the 416 first. You should look into the Pingry Oil Tank and the FST Kit.
