is there any difference between an 86 250r bearing carrier and an 88-89 bearing carrier?
i had an 88-89 swingarm but i got an 86, b/c i don't have the time to fab a mount to use the 88-89, and i have the carrier from my 88, and i am wondering if it will fit in the 86 swingarm? i need to know ASAP!
thanks,
-Ryan

you proabably have a 85 atc swinger, they have a smaller diameter carrier on the outside.

i purchased the swinger off of 250r baja rider on this forum, and i saw pics of it on the quad, and he said it was an 86...thats all i know!

Dumb question, did you remove teh locking bolt on the swing arm before trying to put it in? or doesnt it go in at all?

i removed the locking bolt, but the carrier goes in about 1 inch, and then it stops going in further and won't go in at all, even with a lot of pressure.

has the swinger been painted? or are the carrier seals binding?

250r baja rider told me that the carrier will go in, but it is very tight, so, thats what the problem is.

they say u r supposed to grease around the carrier for this reason and when u r adjusting it its alot easier to move around.
