oil check window

i am changing the oil on my 450r and i changed the oil fitler and drained the oil i put some back in there almost a quart. and i look in the check window and it the oil goes up and down i put a lil more oil in and it just does it a lil now did i do something wrong

do not check the oil while it is running..you have to turn engine off and then look at the window..try to have it at the full mark but I wouldn't go above that

and remember it wont even hold an entire 1 quart bottle, too much oil can be a bad thing too

Yeah I believe it takes exactly like 9/10 of a quart.
