BLISTERS BLISTERS BLISTERS...how the crap are you supposed to practice twice a week when your hands are all torn up and bleeding. I am hoping that they will all calus(sp?) soon and I wont have to go through this anymore.

Anybody have any good remedies for the blisters, prevention, quick healing tricks, anything at all???

I dont have girly hands, or atleast I thought I didnt, but this really sucks. I have a very hands-on job and monday and tuesday are pretty rough after a weekend of practice.

haha, when you race its just something you have to live with. I just got home from racing and my hands are solid calus's(sp) with blood blisters UNDER them. They throb all the time, and i can feel my pulse in my hands. You will get use to it..

try some gloves called blister stopers i think ...i bought a pair at the track and they really help ..you wear them under you riding gloves .some ppl also jus tape up the part of there hand where the blisters come up also.

Sprinkle some baby powder inside your gloves before you ride/race.

also try hold on more with your arms and legs instead of your hands!

after racing for a while your hands will toughen up and you wont get them anymore, it just takes some getting used to at first

i'ev been lifting weights and working construction sience I was 16 and pretty soon your hands turn a light tint of yellow b/c of all the calluses. You can actually take a knife and cut them off once in a while:D

If you ride enough and often enough you will get some thick callouses and then won't get blisters anymore - unless you ride for a long time, and your callouses get blisters UNDER them.....then you rip them off.....yeah....fun......just ride alot! :) ;)

duct tape seriously works well, we use it on our feet when hiking and you feel a hot spot

I've been using weight lifting chalk on my hands before I put my gloves on. Also where it's soooooo hot outside your hands are gonna get wet, try switching to dry gloves between motos or practice sessions.

Baby powder will work great unless your hands get soaked and then it is a pain to clean. I do a lot of work outdoors and I finally realized that raking leaves or using a shovel is a great way to get your hands broke in. Plus I ride every weekend almost all weekend so my whole hand is like a callus

-GOLD BOND
-Tightest riding gloves you can stand (most people wear them too loose)
-New-skin.....available at any pharmacy (Apply 2-3 layers before riding)

Hope those help

unless you have a very hard job(on your hands), you will get blisters after everytime you ride. my calusses get so bad that I have to cut them off every week or so, because of the works boots, my feet are a tottally different story, the only time they went away was when I was on disability for 5 months and wore shoes the whole time. just get used to them, they aren't gonna go away.
