OK, another question from a new guy. I went trail riding with a friend of mine yesterday. He put me on his 300EX. Good Time!

Does the 400 have to be in nutral in order to start? If so, how do you disable this feature. I'd like to be able to just pull in the clutch, hit the starter and go. Is this possible?

Thanks

It does not have to be in nuetral, on the 400ex all you have to do is pull the clutch no matter what gear u are in!

Thanks for the replies. That is good to know. I stalled the 300 yesterday in 2 very awkward places. Once in 10 inches of water, the other while half way across a log. I wonder why Honda set up the 300EX to only start in nutral? To make it more idiot proof? Sure was a pain in the ***. Just one more reason for me to get a 400.
