What dose a steering damper do, i kinda have an idea what they do but im not shure.

make ur front end more stable and it takes alot of the shake out of the steerin steem for a more smoother ride

What happens when you are racing or just riding fast you hit "breaker bumps" with your tires. That sudden hit yanks your tire over which yanks your stem which yanks your handlebars and in turn jars your arms. The damper acts like a shock that absorbs some of the blow so your arms never feel it or dont feel it as much.

you know how the shocks are the absorbers for the up and down movement? well a dampner is the shock for the side to side movement.

essentially, once you ride with one....you'll never go back. I fought it for a long time, now I am a believer;)

i bet from riding that v-force w/ no steering dampner to riding my 400 w/ one i bet its alot better
