ok, about a month ago i asked about the advantages of geting one lightened and have done a lot of research on them. the only thing i cant find out is where exactly do you shave the weight off. do you take the weight off the face of it or around the outside of it? and also is 8 ounces the common amount to take off. im really wanting to do this.

Mine had weight shaved off the inside and outside... Not sure on the total weight that was taken off.

It makes turns, holeshots and hill climbs much easier when your on the gas...:macho

Just be sure it's balanced when you have it shaved off.

Not sure how much was taken off of mine either, but think it makes a noticeable difference for sure! Exploding out of turns, popping off the line, and of course hillclimbs are all improved with the faster revving... I would be weary of doing this yourself though. I think I paid 120 or something to have mine lightened by TC. But that was when I got my whole engine built so maybe he gave me a deal on it. I would call around to TC + GT Thunder to start with, they have done more of these than alot of companies
