i saw a thread on here about 250ex's and one of the guys on there had a picture of his 250 with fliped rims it lookd pretty wide and i was thinking about getting wheelspacers cani just flip the rims instead, does anyone know how much wider it makes a 250 and how would you do it would you just take the wheels off and switch the side of the bike they were on and can you do it with the back wheels to?

is there anything bad that could happen because of this it looked pretty good to me

has anyone else done this to their quad and does it improve stability like wheelspacers?

thanks

You dont need to take off the brakes to flip the rims. Flipping the rims will prematurely wear out your wheel bearings. It adds about 1 inch to each side.

you can't just flip them the valve stem hits the caliper
take it to a tire shop tell them to drill you a knew valve stem hole
on the other side of the rim directly across from the old one
on the flat spot..put a short valve stem in backwardsin the old hole put tar sealant in the cap and screw it on. put a stem in the new hole and remount the tire.

remember
every time you change to new tires it would be a good idea to change the stem in the plugged hole..

i've been running this set up on my wifes 300ex for over a year now,and on my warrior and no problems..and the guy's who say it will add stress on your ball joints..what do you think wheel spacers and offset rims do..plus i weigh 290lbs so if it can handle my fat *** on a 25 foot table top its sturdy!!!!!and on the 300ex it added about
4.5 inches just by flipping the rims

For the record, flipping wheels and adding wheel spacers are a bad idea!

i run 2-3 offset wheels, there awsome on a track but if you go to a rocky pit(not often with me) or ride trails you will get very bad bump steer
