WANTED : I might be the first....
yo guys......i jus got a brilliant idea, most might not like it but im going to pull it off


i am looking for a complete 400ex motor (including the eletrical, carb, oil tank/starter...ect...)

if i can get my hands on one i am going to modify it into my 300ex,

deffinitaly dont think anyone else has tried this....well i want to pul it off so anyone selling one for a reasonable buck, reply please

have seen 2 of these hrbrids already in Midsouth winter series hare scrambles, both guys were from Kentucky. They both ran good but they said for XC riding it was a lot of power for that small frame. But I bet that would rock for flat tracking. Good Luck

yo good luck with that, i race nationals on a 300ex, mines faster than a 400ex and i have it all balanced so it jumps awesome, listen man dont waste your money on getting a motor, just work your 300ex motor out, you do stunt so u want power and some what speed, so gear it for speed, get a pipe, bore it .20 over maybe get a hicompression piston, port it a little, maybe some valves get the eldibrock carb of ebay for 350 bucks compleltly elimenates the bog, jet it, filter and all that man 300s are the best quads you can buy and modd out in my book ive gone thew them all and a 300ex's are the best quads in the world man. thats just my epinon but good luck and if ya need someone to do motor work let me know ill hook ya up with my guy, its outta control racing, totally sick motors he builds and totally reliable

I have a 350X motor you can throw in there, and you dont have t worry bout the oil reservoir BS, Powroll sells a kit even to make it easier
PS, wwhy would you want only a 4 stroke for stunt? 4 stroke motor = weight, i jus got done puttin a KX250 motor in my 350x and that shaved 60 lbs off just the motor swap......and 2 strokes are easier to get power out of...(i freestyle and all that as well)

Thats too much motor for the bike and those motors cost a pretty lot, if your gunna put that in there, might as well put a 4 cylinder in there, cuz the chassis isnt designed for a big motor like that, if you gusseted it and put rubber mounts in and all that itd be g ood, but not stock....and if you do that your also looking at an extended swinger and axle and A-arms jus to keep it planted on the ground on the track or messin around

ok now thats not a good idea, i like the 400x/300ex swap, but the only reason to swap a 2 stroke out for a 4 stroke is because it has 4 cylinders, its not worth t otherwise, unless your making a sweet *** bike for your son i can nderstand, thatd be good
