high comp piston

i want a higher comp piston for my 400ex but i would keep the stock bore what would be some suggestions . also with a higher comp do i need a stronger rod . or just tell me what i should do

I would go 10:1 or lower if you are gonna run 93 octane. 11:1 if you want to run higher>

go for the 10.8:1. and no your not going to need a stringer rod.

go with a 11:1 compression wiseco with cometic head gaskets and a good cam like the hot cams and you should be very hapy with the power of your motor.
