Hey guys i am looking for a ktm520/525 sx or exc engine, preferably the sx. I am going to build a hybrid with my laeger cr500 link 250r frame. I am also interested in a used bike...any offers will be considered!
p.s: i am also going to be selling my 270pv engine out of my R! It is a niks cylinder, ported and polished..is a nikasil coated cylinder, actually is a 275cc engine when u run the 69.5mm piston. It is in great condition and puts out around 200 plus for comperssion. I will even rebore the cylinder, put in a fresh top end, and powdercoat the stator cover, and clutch cover. I will also be selling the curtis sparks mx pipe and silencer with it, cr250 ignition(huge performance gain), lonestar custom airbox, and 38mm pj series carb...plus more. if you have any questions let me know and i will answer to the best of my ability! If i want to throw me an offer, than post it or pm me! Again the only reason i am selling the engine is b/c i want to throw the ktm engine in my frame.

I can probably find you an engine. How much do you want for the 250R engine? My brother needs an engine for his R. We can work out a trade. PM me or call me at 870-814-5795.

yeah...i would like at least an 03, and i would not need the ignition or any exhaust componants, as i will be putting on a vortex ignition, and aftermarket exhaust. What is the clutch mc? And is your brother intersted in my whole package or just the engine?

I cleaned my PM box by the way:o

The '04 is even better because it has a 41mm intake tract to match the carb. The '03 had a 39mm tract. The '03 supposedly had a lighter crank, but the '04 has a removable dummy weight to make it even lighter. The '03 also had a recall on the CDI because it had a higher rev limit and KTM got scared because the 450SX engines got a bad batch of titanium valves and were dropping a few. Sometimes you can find one of the high rev boxes still floating around. The clutch MC means master cylinder. The '04's have a lighter clutch pull because of a smaller MC piston. You need to get an '04 headpipe. It will make the swap much easier. It should fit your chassis. The '04 is best because it joins right out of the head. The earlier models ran two pipes all the way back.

My brother will want everything. (If he is still wanting an engine.)
