i have a hot cams camshaft on my quad and the tensioner recently broke causing me a lot of money. i have seen the ads for heavy duty cam chains and am wondering if i will be better off installing one of them instead of just a stock chain?

I have a DID Heavy Duty Cam Chain for sale if interested. It's brand new, my stock one wasn't stretched so I'm just gonna use it still and throw this one on ebay unless your interested.

Makin a mistake man... You should really put the HD one in there. Its such a cheap mod that goes a long way in reliability

Yes it is pretty cheap but the guides in the engine, the plastic ones arent wide enough for it, it will twist the chain until it wears a spot then it will have plastic shavings in the engine. I don't like that idea

Only use an 02 crf chain if you do becuase the newer ones are different as well. The DID chain should fit into the grooves and you shouldn't have a problem, if it doesn't fit in the grooves of the plastic chain guide then you have the wrong chain.
