View Full Version : how to remove carbon build up??

hey i have my 400 motor apart and there is alot of carbon build up on the exaust valves and exaust ports. is there a way off removing it? i think i remember someone saying they used some type of an oven spray, anyone know what kinda stuff to use?thanks

Use carb and choke cleaner. It is REALLY GOOD. Use this with a brillo pad and a little TLC and u will be set!

yeah we used to use that **** when i worked for this hotel...cleans that caked on carbon off of pans....im about sure it will work for your motor :)

yea i sprayed i on the exhaust ports and the carbon pretty much flaked off
