xr400 sidecase on a 400ex

i was wondering if the xr400 clutch side sidecase would fit on a 400ex. i was wanting to buy a hinson sidecase because of the quickchange sidecase and i noticed that the xr400 had this on it stock. its only about $200 for the sidecase and cover from service honda too so its alot cheaper. if any had tried or know if this will work or not let me know. i know it had the kickstart hole but i will just have it welded over like whats done on the stock 400ex sidecase.

well I might be wrong hear but I beleive the 400ex cover that hinson sells is a XR cover with the pluged hole...I would say you should be good...it`s the same motor

I have an XR400 quick change clutch cover on my 426 and it works great. Got it on ebay for 70 bucks too pretty much new. Just need to know someone who can plug the kickstart hole for you
