View Full Version : Wireing pics

I looked through the manual and it doesn't help much, a little, but as I'm getting more parts, there is getting less and less room on the frame, and I don't know how exactly the wiering harness is suposed to be routed through the frame without being in the way of anything. If someone could get some pics of how the wiering is on thier 250r that would be alot of help to me.

mine runs stragiht up then hooks into the brackets or hooks on my frame and i fish it by my stering stem

I route mine backwards at an angle toward the reed cage. Mine has a ruber wire loop on the top left bolt (for the reeds), I route it thru there then up over the head stay and thru the rubber tank pads and rubber hook on the left side.

These aren't the best pictures to show wiring but you get the idea.

The first thing I install after a rebuild is the wiring ..

That helps a little, but does anyone have, or can anyone take some closer up pics of how the wireing if routed around everything like the motor, radiator, gas tank etc.

There is no wiring "Around" the motor, wire "to" the motor yes.

Everything else is as he has it in his pics.

This is from my 86. My 89 runs pretty much the same way.

well are u runnign full harness? cuz i just run mine from the stater to cdi to tether to coil... thats it

Ok I got it figured out where the wires go, thanks for the help.

Baker, I honestly don't know if it's a full harness. Wireing is not my thing at all. I know some people that are good with wireing so when I get my kill switch, I'll just make a couple phone calls. heres the best pic I have of th wireing. And yes it is more organized now than it is in the pic.
