I talked to a race company and they said that they can bore my engine to a 416 or a 426 doesnt matter same price,it comes with a 11:1 piston wiesco for the 416 and hotcams stage one and everything else in the deal. he said they can do it for $600.00. thats parts and everything does that sound right.

yep, i could see that. the piston will probably be around $100-$130. the cam around $130. the rest is labor besides the gaskets.

I would do a 416 unless they give you a new sleeve with the 426. A 426 is pushing the limit on a stock sleeve. Also, you may want HD studs with the 426.

For most power, go with 11:1 Ross or JE 426 Piston, 88mm LA Sleeve, Hotcam, GT Thunder H-D Headstuds, and a Carrillo rod.....

If you don't want new rod, just go with 416 Ross or JE, Hotcam, and maybe just to be 100% safe, GT Thunder H-D Headstuds...Mine pulled out within 3 days on my 426..

the compression is up to you man. 11:1 is good if you still want to run pump gas and have good reliability. If you dont mind running full race gas ($$$), then go 12 or 13:1... The difference compression makes on power is significant. I noticed a sizable increase just going from 12 to 13:1

Yes, as long as you know where to buy race gas and you can always afford it. You cannot run pump gas on 12:1 or higher compression.
