what should i gap my valves to on my 400ex?
thanks
.005 for exhaust
.004 for intake
Make sure it's on the compression stroke when you adjust them.

that is correct. that is assuming you do run the stock camshaft

Should the valves be at the top or at the bottom when you adjust them? I am new to 4 strokes and i have an 04 EX that needs a valve adjustment.

All 4 valves should be closed on the compression stroke.
