i am interested in starting to race my quad in hare scramblres

i am 14 and my best quad right now is 250ex ( i know it's not a speeding bullet)

my question is would my 250 even stand a chance, or should i just wait for my 400

also what are the rules and crap like that to race

any feed back would be apreciated

thanks,
brenden

you couldnt race a 400 till ur 16, and yes unless your incredibly fast riding a 250ex would probably be a lost cause

practice now on the 250ex. so when you get your 400 you will haul a ss.

I am an alright rider, I did moast of my learning on a quad sport 250 utility quad. then when I got my 400 I was so used to luging that slow utility quad around it made the 400 easy to ride.

develope your riding skills as much as you can and participate in as many races as you can. experience is by far more usable than cc's.

you can do it, a lot of time in hare scrambles you cant use the full power of a larger quad anyways, you will just have to have it pinned a little more!:D

I raced my 250ex for three years in hare scrambles. Change the tires and put on a kill switch and go racing. Who cares if you loose it will still be fun.

my riding skills are very good (not trying to be cocky), the reason racing crossed my mind is because when i was at a track some gncc racers pulled me asside and asked me if i raced, and i told them i didn't, and they said i definetly should start, and that i really know how to throw my 250 around

thanks for your help guys, any more suggestions?
