A friend of mine has told me of a place called Coal Creek. It is located north of Knoxville Tn. It is supposidly umteen hundreds of acres old coal mine ground. Very cheap. Few restrictions. Primitive camping.

There is also a place called Land Between the Lakes in western Kentucky. I've never been to either, but when the subject comes up in my neck of the woods, those are the 2 places people bring up.

I'm with nosliw here. Gotta love the Pacific Northwest! I love the forest riding. It's so fun maneuvering through tight and twisty trails in the middle of nowhere, going up scary steep hills.
