Hey everybody I am in the process of rebuilding my R and I was wondering what I should do to clean my gas tank out. There is some little bits of stuff in there that I guess was from the fuel. Any suggestions? Thanks

flush it with a lil dieseil, then flush it with a lil plain clean gas.
by flush i meen put about 1/4 gallon in it an swish it around good an dump it out.

I suppose you could use soap & water, simple green. Make sure to rinse it well, and let it sit in the sun upside down with the valve off till its completely dry.
Then swish and dump a few pints of your premix.

had to do the same thing with mine when i bought it-had been sitting for years... i would take the tank completley off and like they said fill it 1/4 way up and shake it around... i also but some clean washers and bolts and stuff in there as well as if it has sat dry for a while, things start to flake off the plastic in there sometimes... so i knocked those around to try and knock all the crap off.. but yah i would take the whole thing off and go through it...

i would have to go with zedicus00's idea. i use deisle for everything. pour some in there and let it sit and be sure to shake it around good. then flush it with has good to.
