i want to buy a dg stage III xcellerator exhaust for my quad. i know i will need to rejet, but i have never done it before. should i buy a new jet kit? what are they for anyways

a new quad isnt an option right now because this is the biggest my parents would let me have and i have only had it for a little while so.. and where i live bigger isnt better anyways because if you go to fast on the trails i ride on youll be wrapped around a tree. my buddy has a 400ex and theres not even any difference out on the trails.. the 250 is actually a pretty good quad, how would you know if its so bad anyways. i was asking some questions, not your opinion if the 250 was good or not. and everybody ive let ride it likes it. 300ex's are about 5 mph faster than 250ex's so i dont know what your talking about anyways

Get the WB ESeries exhast out of rockymountain chep and works good i got the jet from there too(labled K&N) and i put the 112 in.

how much did it improve your performance? was it quieter than stock? or louder. because i dont want something that sounds crappy.

any aftermarket pipe you put on is going to make it louder. i would go with the wb also. i dont think dg's are any good.IMO

thanks. whats your opinion on the hmf slip ons? which is better, the wb or hmf?

hondaexrider22- have your wb exhausts held up well because i have read in other posts about peoples breaking off. oh ya, is the difference between the full and slip on systems really big. is paying that much more for the full system really worth it? and do you think wb or hmfs are better?

Yea Mine has help up well i see no problems, also i dont have to worry, my dad is freind with a mechanic and welder :smile:

hmf doesn't make a slip on for the 250.

i wouldnt buy a jet kit, its cheaper just to bu a few different jets (keihin work just fine) and return what ever you have left over. get liike 3 bigger jets and go from there. white brothers and hmf are the most common pipes used on this site btw.:)

i was also thinking about buying the DG xcellorator. i heard that they sound crappy and other stuff, but then i heard one this past weekend on the trail. man they sound pretty good on the 250. i am going to get it on mine because like you, my parents dont want me to get rid of mine yet, but they dont care if i get an exhaust. i would rather get a decent cheaper one then spend a crap load and then have to get rid of it. the jet kit, you are going to have to rejet because you wont get much if any gains without it.

it wasn't extremly loud. but it was defenatly louder than stock. i thought it sounded good because it wasn't too loud. oh, and was the stage 3

I have a DG stage 3 Xcellerator stainless exhaust and it sounds awesome without any of the plates removed.

I've noticed a big improvement over the stock exhaust. Whoever said this exhaust is bad doesn't know what they are talking about, Period!
