questions about lil sahara

do the flags have to be 10 feet or can they be a couple inches under? and do u have to have lights to ride in the day?

You dont need lights during the day. If you want to run at night you have to have a front and rear light. I'd suggest buying a whip flag there, if its a couple inches under, I doubt they will let you in. Night riding is the best part at lil sahara, especially going through all the trails.

All in all lil sahara is pretty laid back, I've never seen anyone get in trouble there. Just dont be an idiot through the parking lots and you'll be fine.

if you do like to night ride get a visawhip from the shop in the south camp ground. they are worth the $50, and tough as hell.

I bought some el wire on the internet. www.elwirecheap.com about 6 fee of it and a little converter. It's about 1/4" by 1/4", very small. Just hook to your battery, use zip ties up your flag pole to wrap the el wire to, and there you go! same exact thing as the lighted whips at the store, just a few bucks cheaper. the store bought ones are every bit as cool !! I agree, a full lighted whip is great. your crew will be able to see you easily.

if you go through the gate in the north camp ground, the dirt is piled real high going under the bar. your whip is suppose to be 10 ft off the ground but if the dirt stays piled up a 9 ft 6 in whip will touch the bar. as for the lights, they are pretty strict about having a working tail light. you can go to walmart and buy a 2 dollar red light and hot wire it to the battery and zip tie it the the grab bar and it will pass.

I bought an LED side marker light from O'Reily and mounted it on the bar by the seat latch. Looks pretty good I thought and it doesn't get ripped off if you dig the grab bar in the ground. I couldn't believe a new tailight was $43.00!

i like how honda put rubber gromets on the tail light so when you do stand it up on the grab bar you dont rip it off.
