Hey pros,

Anybody have any input on this carb? Since it is for a 440 kit, would it be to much carb for my 426? Also, I have a White Bros slip on with stock header. would an aftermarket header make much improvement?

No its perfect for you 426. i called edelbrock about a week ago because im building a 416. i asked them about getting new jets for the bigger motor. they suggested that i send back the carb so they can retro fit the Eichner big bore parts basically turning my carb into the 440 series. they said with anything 416 and over the 440 carb is best. and get rid of that stock header with your mods you need a full exaust it will make alot of differance

Thanks for the help. I think I'll get one. Precision Powersports on Ebay is selling them new for $390.00 (twist or thumb throttle). Beats Rocky or Kirk pricing by a mile!

I have an edlebrock converted to eichner on my 440 and I think it works great. One thing though, on past threads, the majority of members seem to favor the FCR over Edlebrock. Just one thing you might want to keep in mind. Do a search.
