does the quad and a trike 250R have the same motor in it?

The 81-84 atc250r had an air cooled 250. The 85 and 86 atc 250r's had the short rod version of the liquid cooled motor that is in the trx250r's

the trx had something done to the clutch to handle the extra weight over the atc. the trx also had a little bit lower compression to keep the motor cooler. i think thats about it
