New Truck!!

Picked this up last week...1992 Chevy z71, 4" suspenion lift, 2" body lift, headers, cat-back dual exhaust, 35's, only problem is the motor is a 4.3....but not for long:devil:

only a 4.3 :( how does it turn those tires thats a shame if it had the 5.7 small block you would be rippin

bull shyt thats a 4.3....that would mean its only a v6....it might be a 5.0...but all ive known to come in chevy silverado's from 1989-1998 is 5.7ltr

If by some chance im wrong....and it is a 4.3 swappin to a 350 wouldnt be much because a 4.3 and a 5.7 are the exact same motors with the front 2 cylinders cut off...so the motor mounts are the exact same

Nice truck. I think TCracin is right, I don't think that's a 4.3 engine. Like he said most of them came with the 5.0 or the 5.7

But we could be wrong.

I like it with the visor and the flaps on it.

nice truck dude! i like the visor and the mud flaps are sort of cool. Yeah man once you put a 5.7 she'll rip, i just cant believe a 4.3 turns those wheels

chevy did make a few trucks of that model with the 4.3, they are pretty rare though....lol

yea a 4.3 to 5.7 swap is not to bad. you will need a dist., 5.7 injectors, 5.7 prom, manifolds, 5.7 radiator. weekend project.

Yea nice truck but if it were me id lose the flaps and lift the rear bumper up :macho

ive got all that off my 98 z71 w/ vortech heads and everything....ive been tryin to get rid of the whole motor...only known problem with the motor is its nocking...i think a lifter is collapsed...not sure on that....but it could be cheaply rebuilt...

i replaced the motor out of my 98 z71

i have:
The flywheel
block
heads
valve covers
TBI
the upper and lower intake manifolds
a/c compressor mount bracket
oil pan....all of this is in great condition has 138k on it like i said the motor started to knock, got a sweet deal on another 5.7 with 100k on it and lifetime warrenty so i swapped motors

weekend project took me and mystep dad 2 days
