Where can I buy chromoly? and how much about is it? also can it be welded with a MIG welder, or do i gotta TIG it?

We buy 4130 tubing at a local stock car builder- he buys out of Pittsburgh. Better to tig, but even the stock car builder migs it! He does some welding on aircraft frames which require tig welding with certification.

64 bucks for a 6 inch piece?? is that right?
wicked high grade. you can get standard grade for cheeper prolly. some bigger pices that are more standard can be cheeper. lol

I wouldn't MIG it. Some people do, but I wouldn't. It's very sensitive to heat. If it cools too fast it will crack. You have more control of your heat with TIG.

1 1/8" tubing runs about 7.00 per ft.

I weld it both ways all the time. It can also be brased
