hi guys

i am building a 426, with these mods :

11:1 Wiseco 88mm piston
Webcam 479 grind
kibblewhite vavle springs
ported head
KN filter w/ no lid
no choke in stock carb
HD head studs
HD timing chain
shaved head
DMC alien full exhaust

I wanna know what could make it run better or make it more reliable. I'm also curious how much HP it would make. Any tough are appreciated

Buy a 39mm FCR carb... It'll be the best $$$$ youever spent!!!;)

definatly buy a carb, if your going to do a good 426 build. you should be makin around 37-40 HP with that set up. also dont waste money on a HD 400ex cam chain just put a CRF450 cam chain in it.

Get the FCR carb and CRF450 cam chain with GT Thunder headstuds and Cometic flex steel gaskets. Also if your going with a 426, you could get a different sleeve so the stocker is not so thin. I would also get the GT Thunder or Sparks 8 plate clutch setup...

Definatly go with a Carillo or Wiesco HotRod Connecting Rod to handle that power...

And, I'd reccommend a Ross or JE piston over Wiesco.
Wiesco bases there compression ratios for there pistons off of the xr400 motor, which has thinner gaskets and a smaller deck height then the 400ex motor(I think...Wilkin will probably correct me if I am wrong).
So what does that do? Makes your compression less then 11:1. JE and Ross pistons are based off of 400ex motors, so the compression will be at or closest to 11:1.

I'd also reccomend a 450r Carb or 39mm FCR.
