Been wanting to get this thing metered ever sincei put the wall in, but the closest meter is owned by Scottie Johnson, and he's a busy man this time of year. so, i decided to hit this small local show today...err...yesterday

it was run almost identically to a MECA show, and they even used the Termlab. scores were taken outlaw in the kick. in my first run, i had to find frequency and max volume. ended that round with a 149.4dB at 53hz

second run, i add a couple clicks up from my last run, and track up to 54 in the lanes. drive up to the judging area, and i get out of my truck this time, because a 150+ run while in the vehicle = DQ. time starts, hit it, mid 149, couple more volume clicks, end up with a damn 149.9. i tried desperately to gain that other tenth, but it just wasn't happening. Regardless, that score was the loudest of the day, winning my class, and i also received Best Of Show.

i however, do think the truck will do a 150 as it sits, just gotta find the tricks to it. but, alas, i shall never know, because the 187's are leaving, and the Lethal Injections are coming to stay a while. hopefully i'll see a 151+ with a sub swap.

all in all, most fun i've had in a while. this SPL stuff is addictive.

Sweet man, I loved going to small shows with the old dime, it was easy to beat the locals in sound competitions. Although I generally did the SQ stuff, I had my buddy meter my old equipment and it peaked around 145. Not bad at all for what it was.

Scottie will get the tricks going for ya;) I didn't even think you had them broke in yet cause I never hear them when you drive by. What you going to do with the subs when you swap out? I guess you got bitten by the bug now, if you want I'll tell Damien to look for you an astro too:D
