Another Tire Question...

Why don't you see more of the larger tire sizes in races like GNCC or Harescrambles? Sizes like 23" fronts and 22" rears?

Wouldn't you get better stump and rock clearance?

when its a really rocky course or rutted, i see many more riders using the taller tires. i dont like the handling of the 22" rears personally, and as fast as those guys are going id geuss that may have alot to do with it.

I've never ridden GNCC but I would think that GNCC is very technical and 23'' fronts and 22'' rears are big and bulky. Plus the ground clearence between 23'' and 22'' fronts isn't that much of a difference.
