Which one is fastest? I know you are prolly thinking..."who needs a fast bike on the street, you can only go the speed limit!" Well thats true but imo i want to go all out if I plan on dropping 6grand on a bike thats not a quad!!!:p

i would go for handling more than speed. Speed is always nice but they're all going to be about the same as far as top speed

You didn't give a couple key options:

If you are looking for a 1000cc bike you have to consider the Yamaha R1 and Suzuki GSX-R1000.

Oh any a Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 will kick the sh*t out of anything.

I guess if you go back far enough they are that cheap. That bike msrps for about 14g new. But in all fairness, ive bought a 98 cbrf3 for around 3 grand, so there is the difference.

I really would like to pick up a newer style r6 or CBR I absolutly love the way they styled with the pointed tail section and "edgy" body....they look like stealths...i think im going to go with one of them if i can get one for the right price...I do want to stick with honda but I feel when it comes to street bikes usually the top 4 manufactures have got it right!

Everyone thinks that all the time, and it is FAR from the truth. Just about any liter bike out there will keep up with or out run the Hayabusa. They are very fast, but they are also very big and bulky. Put someone who hasn't rode that much, or just raced on a busa, and someone of decent skill on a 600, and they 600 will win. 90% of it is skill. But, if you want to find some imaginary highway with no cops and a few miles of straightaway, ya the busa will win due to higher top speed. Not trying to get on a soapbox, but I had a busa, and it was a lot of fun, but also a ton of money for insurance. Also, any bike out there can hang with it, or beat with an equally skilled rider so I wasn't that inpressed. I sold it and got a Gsxr, and am much happier.

My oldest brother just sold his gsxr-600 about a month ago and bought a 2005 YZF-R1 and that thing scares the s*hit out of me. He would usually let me ride his old 600 up/down my road a few times and it was very fast but the yamaha seems a bit faster. I have had my bike license for about a year but haven't got one yet. I got the 450r instead. Don't think i can afford both. BTW he got the all black YZF-R1 .........

You would be silly to get anything bigger than a 600 for the simple reason of insurance. It can be insane! Plus, a 600 is a blast, and a very capable bike.
