striped bolt fix?????

has anyone ever replaced the thread for the case saver, on the top bolt,, the really long one??? i think its a 6X100. i was thinking that the bolt hole would be to deep to rethread? any help is appreciated, thanks

does the bolt really beed to be so long? you could drill the whole thing out and tap it as far as you could and use a shorter bolt?

well the bolt actually goes through the case halves just a little, so im guess it kinda needs to go through both halves???

oh, im sure sombody makes a tap that long, ive never seen one but those threads had to get there some how??

If you want to properly fix that, and not ****** rig it, you will need to split the cases...
