hey, i have an 86 r that needs some work. i got it as a project bike, but im leaving for college in a month so i dont have the time or money to mess with it. it does kick over and will crank occasionally. i have new rings on the way to hopefully boost the compression up and help with cranking. it needs plastic and a few minor things such as axle bearings, shifter and some work on the brakes. i installed a new wiseco piston, and a full exhaust. it would be a great project quad, just has to go. pm me with your email address and ill get you pictures. $900 obo thanks

omg... thats so clean... i'd have to talk to my dad... but i've really been wanting a 250r... are you sure thats the problem with the engine...

does it run good and strong... cuz i relly want a 250r but i dont want to do alot of work... i mean plastic and shift lever and stuff aint no biggy but.. i dont want to have to rebuild the hole engine or anything...

is it a stock engine or bored any? is there any cracks in the frame or case or anywhere....

also... whats wrong with the breaks... do they just need to be bled or is a piston stuck or something??

stock bore, just honed, left case is new, right is perfect, only chip is on water pump, just cosmetic though. frame has one crack on lower motor mount that was tacked up. as for brakes, they are probably stuck, i havent messed with them, but the origional brake pads are on it, not sure if thats worth anything to any of you all, but this thing was basically pushed to the side when the clutch went out, and i basically dragged it out of a friends back yard. cmon guys, need the money for college, i really wish i could finish it, but maybe ill have my dream in 4 years:ermm:

but if u want to trade it for a a 89 LSR frame id trade a LSR frame for your quad haha it was welded tho. (a lil extra sopport)
