$ for oil filter?

I went today to my Honda dealer expecting to pay about $5 for a new oil filter for my 450R, but instead I had to pay $14. This was no special filter, just a Honda replacement filter. What did you guys, and girls, pay for your filters?

ya i think my honda charges more than that...i just got some k&n oil filters..they are only 5-6 bucks...i havnt tried them yet though so i cant tell you how they work..

i think i paid $2.75/filter from C&D. heck i just ordered 10 at one time so i wouldn't have to mess with it for a while

You better carry a pillow with you to ease the pain when you set down.j/k It sounds like you are going to my dealer, they try to pull that crap all the time, I just tell them they are crazy and they usually mark it back to the right price.

i just walk in and take mine.. depends where you get them from though. i wont ever go to a nother honda dealer because of the little free stuff i get from my dealer
