Will a stock 89 head fit on an 86 cylinder?

it should considering all the gaskets are the same... plus the blot pattern for all the cylinders are the same so i would go with yes ;)

yes, the compression will be a little higher and the powerband will feel different, a bit more snappy, but yes it will work, youll like it!
