Help!!

i got an 01 250ex. when i nail the throttle real fast it stalls, 4 out of 5 times. sometimes it will sputter until i let up on it. i cleaned the air filter and am still having the same problem. any suggestions or did this happen to anyone else and if so how did you fix it? thanks

drain the carb and clean it out real good. also thats how mine was. if u gave it wide open throttle from nothing it would stall a little..

is this happening from an idle? if so, raise the idle up just a little bit at a time then try it. mine would do that also with cutting off. i just raised the idle a tiny bit and then it was fine.

change the plug and tell us what the color of the old one was

yeh we are changing the plug. hopefully that will fix it cause its cheap and easy. im pretty sure its not the idle. thanks for the suggestion though. i will let you guys know how it turns out.

hey. i just took the spark plug out and its the greyish color its supposed to be. next is probably checking the carb. out. any other suggestions?

i just had the same prob with a couple of other biikes you need to lean out the air/fuel mix screw a lil

your prolly runnin it to rich....... happened to me one time on my recon(same motor as 250ex), like posted before try to adjust the carberator
