A guy I know at work is building a custom buggy. Planning on a 1 1/2 inch round tube chassis with a 80somethin 250R 3-wheeler engine and all quad components (axle, swinger, a-arms.) Does anyone have any pics or tips on a project such as this? Thanks.

buy a used cyotie chassis and go from there. they can be found for cheep and the geometry behind one of thoes go karts is un believible.

unless he is going for more of the big tires rout.

Get electric start IMO. Nothing would be worse than to stall and have to get out and kick each time.

a 440 snomobile engine on a go kart would kick a s s wicked fast.

no lie. at BEST a snomobile gets 1/3 of its power to the ground. that is with like titanium driveshafts and junk. so immagine a 440 on a go kart. mint.

I was just looking for ideas and tips because this one is kind of a stepping stone to see how it goes. The engine choice is because it was free. Anyone find any pics of any kinda like what I described?

Next buggy may have 2, 2-stroke snowmobile engines, LT front and rear suspension, and Hipers. :)
